Here are 4 quick steps to manually back up your application using snapshots in PBCS. Essentially, you create a snapshot of the entire environment by exporting the application with all of its data and artifacts.

1. Access Migration from the navigation icon.

2. Click Backup and enter a folder name.

Note: Backups automatically include artifacts belonging to:

  • Document Repository
  • Core
  • Data Management
  • Calculation Manager
  • Groups and Membership

Artifacts in Core includes Relational and Essbase data, global artifacts, plan type, configuration and security.

3. Click Refresh to update the Migration Status Report to monitor progress of your backup. Verify that your backup is completed.

4. Access Snapshots to see all your backups. You can download the folder containing your backup to local computer.
