Display Missing Data in Smart View
When you are doing ad-hoc analysis in Smart View, sometimes you will see #Missing values in grids when drilling down on certain members because there is no data. It could be simply because no data is ever booked to that intersection; in this example, ABC Company, Inc. did not generate subscription revenue in October 2020. The report looks somewhat busy due to how missing values are displayed with #Missing.
With data options in Smart View, you can specify how you want missing values to be displayed in grids. You have the option to replace missing data with either #NumericZero or simply any character you want; in this example, missing data is replaced with a hyphen (-):
As a result, we now have a much cleaner looking report.
